For parents and students

DrawSplat lets students show ideas with drawings, text, pictures, and recorded notes. SplatWorks adds tools for writing, slides, spreadsheets, and organized lists.

Students: start your work

  1. Use the app link your teacher gives you.
  2. If your school asks you to sign in, use the school account or sign-in method your teacher provides.
  3. Read the task, create your work, and check it before sharing.
  4. Save a file or turn in the assignment using your teacher’s directions.

You do not need an account to try a browser-only whiteboard. School classrooms and online saving need a school setup.

Pick the tool you need

  • Whiteboard: draw, write, add pictures, and explain an idea with a note.
  • WriteSplat: draft a story or report and review writing suggestions.
  • ShowSplat: build slides with pictures and speaker notes.
  • GridSplat: enter data, try formulas, and make charts.
  • ListSplat: organize records, such as books or science observations.

Keep a copy

Save important work as a file. Browser autosave stays on that device and browser. Clearing browser data or changing devices may remove your copy. Ask your teacher which file type to use and where to save it.

For steps, see Saving and exporting. A school’s online whiteboard saving does not mean every SplatWorks app saves to a school account.

Share safely

Share only with the people your teacher names. Do not put passwords, home addresses, or private details in a board or public link. Ask before adding another person’s photo or voice. Tell a trusted adult if something makes you uncomfortable.

Parents: ask about your child’s work

Contact the school to ask where work is stored, who can see it, and how long it is kept. You can also ask to view, download, correct, or delete records. The school will check your identity and handle the request under its policies.

Family Access Tools supports requests for schools that have configured the Apps Script family service. For a district database installation, use your school’s published request process. This website’s form is not a request portal for every school.

Read Terms and privacy for the site’s policies. Ask your school for the notice that applies to its own installation.

Need help?

For an account, assignment, or missing file, start with your teacher or school help desk. For access needs, see Accessibility and ask the school about support. Report an app problem through Contact and support; leave student records and passwords out of the message.
